Total Investment

The total amount contributed over the complete investment period.

Estimated Returns

The projected profit calculated above your total contributions.

Maturity Value

The projected value of your investment at the end of the tenure.

SIP Calculator Formula

The calculator uses the standard future-value formula for periodic SIP investments.

M = P × [((1 + r)ⁿ − 1) / r] × (1 + r)

M = Maturity value
P = Monthly investment amount
r = Monthly rate of return (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100)
n = Total number of monthly installments (years × 12)

Total Investment = Monthly Investment × Number of Months
Estimated Returns = Maturity Value − Total Investment

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a SIP?
SIP stands for Systematic Investment Plan. It allows an investor to invest a fixed amount at regular intervals, commonly every month, instead of investing a large amount at one time.
How is SIP maturity value calculated?
SIP maturity value is calculated using the future-value formula for periodic investments. The calculation considers the monthly investment, expected rate of return and number of installments.
What is the SIP formula?
The standard formula used is M = P × [((1 + r)ⁿ − 1) / r] × (1 + r), where P is the monthly investment, r is the monthly return rate and n is the total number of monthly installments.
Are SIP calculator returns guaranteed?
No. SIP calculator results are estimates based on an assumed return rate. Actual mutual fund or market-linked investment returns can be higher or lower.
Can I use this calculator for mutual funds?
Yes. The calculator can be used to estimate the potential future value of regular investments in mutual funds, provided the assumed rate of return is used only as a projection.
Does the calculator save my data?
Recent calculations are stored using your browser's localStorage. This version does not transmit the calculation history to a server.

Also, the calculated return is only a projection; actual market-linked investment returns are not guaranteed.
